My Story

I attended Arizona State University where I majored in economics and mathematics with an emphasis on probability and statistics. After graduation, I pursued and actuarial career and have been a member of the Casualty Actuarial Society since 2002. I have been an active volunteer in the CAS since joining obtaining my fellowship.

I have ten years of experience working with commercial trucking including the inland marine and general liability components of the risk. I also have over five years working with personal auto at a top ten writer, and five years working in several smaller lines such as manufactured homes, personal umbrella, boatowners, and dwelling fire.

Computing capabilities have changed since I first started the career. I attended seminars and did self study to help with some initial modeling projects, but I decided to focus on improving my skills in a more concentrated way. So in 2017, I began working on my Masters in Data Analytics. I have used the knowledge gained pursuing that degree on multiple modeling projects.
